Safer Families, Safer Samoa

The main aim of the campaign was to raise awareness about domestic violence and its prevention in Samoa. The campaign was designed to engage both the general public and the government to work together to create a safe environment for all.

The brand identity was developed based on the statement “A healthy relationship is supportive, trusting and warm”. The challenge was to accommodate a rather long wording and create a recognizable and effective symbol.

For this project we provided a wide range of services, from conceptualizing to design, photography and final layouts of over 50 printed and web materials. The photography used was impactful and featured real life stories of people who have faced domestic violence and survived. The images and stories were accompanied by simple messages that encouraged people to take action. The campaign also encouraged people to seek help and support if they or someone they know is affected by domestic violence. The campaign was supported by a website and social media pages to provide further information and resources.
